HTC EVO 4G Android 2.2 Update
In our never-ending quest to tell you just when a certain handset is getting the Android 2.2 update, we’ve got news that Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G will get a little taste of ‘Froyo’ come August 3rd. That’s when the OTA update will start being pushed out automatically to phones, but impatient users (and we all know who we are here, folks) can do it sooner manually from the EVO’s Software Update menu starting August 1st. In addition to the benefits of Android 2.2 across all phones, the EVO is also getting some new preloaded widgets, a flashlight mode which uses the LED flash on the camera, and 720p video recording that should have better quality than before. Excited yet?
